Hot on the heels of his Motocross Nationals Championship win in Newcastle last weekend, Craig ‘Ando’ Anderson has re-signed with Honda Australia to ride for their factory off road team in 2007.

Ando last won a title in Australia in 2002 before heading off to the USA for two years to ride in the AMA where he spent time competing for a Honda satellite team.

Since his return to Honda on home soil, the 28 year old family man has once again shown that he is the best rider in the country.

This la-*test*-('") win is his 12th Australian title, and after a long association with the manufacturer, he is “very happy” to be staying on board to defend his title in 2007.

“Since I’ve come back to Honda here at home, everything has really fallen into place. The support of the Team has been fantastic and is nothing short of world class.”

In 2005, Ando finished strongly in both the Motocross and Supercross Championships despite breaking his foot early on in the season.

“My first year back didn’t go exactly as I’d hoped, but Honda were very supportive and I knew that I had done the right thing by signing with them. I’m really happy to be able to continue the
association.”

Honda are equally thrilled, particularly since Anderson has won the manufacturer their first Pro Open motocross title since Glen Bell did the same for them back in 1991.

“We have been extremely happy with having Ando on board,” said Honda’s General Manager, Motorcycles, Tony Hinton.

“He is a professional and a great guy to work with. On top of that he’s incredibly talented on a motorcycle. We couldn’t ask for a better package.”

Ando will next compete on behalf of the No Fear Honda Team at the third round of the Supercross Masters to be held on Saturdeay, July 29th in Brisbane. For more information, go to: www.supercrossmasters.com.au
