Bought a training kite the other day and am having lessons on thursday.
looking forward to it.

kite was $200 (thats just a training one) and you need to be able to make it go exactly where you want it to before using the proper kites, let alone going in the water.
2 hours lessons for me and S is going to cost about $200. Thankfully i didnt buy the kite (S did).

My Girlfriend and I went for our first kiteboarding lesson last thursday. Holy shit what a sport. Definately my new favourite sport, and we didnt even get onto a board (had to master controlling the kite first which is harder than it looks).

We did a lot of aquaplaning on our bellies and lots of getting airborn. definately getting myself a wetsuit so i can keep doing it through the winter.

yeah i want to. they are pretty dangerous though. water is soft. the ground is hard.

adreneline isnt much good when you are in hospital or dead though.
