When it comes to the old boy scout motto of "be prepared" well we are committed believers. It is also very important to us to have the ligh-*test*-('") possible configuration of tools that allow you to repair a bike in the middle of nowhere and get you back on the trails again. Makes sense I hear you say. Well that it does.




Heres a product that debuted a few years ago and is probably the best selling bumbag around today. The 2005 offering is still going strong so we thought it's worth revisiting. Here's what we found.

The pack is made from waterproof durable lightweight rip stop nylon. It has a fold out tool roll with enough elasticised loops of varied sizes to provide a safe (no rattle around) environment for your tools.

Behind that is a generous pocket with enough space to hold a spare tube or two, (we often use it to carry our Helcam). A fold over front pouch gives you further storage space.

The fold over flap not only ensures the whole kit is rainproof it also has a clear map window with watertight enclosure.

The buckle is adjusted with ease and straps remain secure without any slippage. The Straps feature zipper pockets on each side to accommodate your licence money or anything else that needs a secure location.

I initially took this pack out on a 5 hour run fitted to the hilt with gear and found it to be a very comfortable lightweight pack with room enough for a full compliment of tools.

Since the initial -*test*-('") I have used it regularly for the last 2 years and it's still looking just as good as the day we bought it.
